Summer 2011 update

Tena koutou, it is high time I told you all a little about what has been happening at Ringawera over the long hot summer.
Where to begin?
The start of summer saw Patrick learning all about early mornings as he started baking fresh artisan breads (ciabatta and turkish pide) for local Waiheke businesses. At 4am he can be seen staggering up the drive to the kihini to begin the long process of mixing doughs and creating loaves, buns and rolls.
The view from the balcony at 6 am (the pay-off) can be seen above. Patrick is usually chewing his way through a plate load of toast by then, (and onto his 2nd coffee).
Ringawera breads can now be purchased at Waiheke Fruit and Veg, Te Matuku Bay Oysters and can be found on the menus at The Goldie Room, Wai Kitchen, Wild on Waiheke, and Nourish. Our rolls also feature at local Argentinean Barbecue El Sizzling Chorizo, and at Time Out Cafe and on saturdays at the local market stall of Down to Earth Catering.
If you are looking for a little sweet treat, try our Waiheke Cakes (our version of the famous Eccles) and our Twirlers, (Cinnamon and Raisin buns) available at Waiheke Fruit and Veg and Te Matuku Bay Oysters.
